Deputies find suicidal woman in woods

04/14/2017 - Oakland County sheriff's deputies on Monday, April 10, located a Rochester Hills woman who allegedly tried to take her own life before hiding in a wooded area near the 1800 block of Archer's Pointe.

Deputies responding about 10:58 p.m. to the report of a suicidal person in the area were told by the woman's husband that she took about 30 unknown pills before fleeing their home to some nearby woods. Deputies and a K-9 unit were able to track the woman for about 75 yards into the woods, at which point the woman saw the dog and tried to run back to her house.

Deputies were able to detain the woman, who continued to make suicidal statements to them, the sheriff's office said.

The woman was transported by the Rochester Hills Fire Department to Crittenton Hospital for medical treatment and a psychological evaluation.
