Suite Dreams Project Hats Off Luncheon

From the first sip of pink bubbly (in a split with a pink straw) to the Hat Crawl guests’ exit with huge, hot pink balloons, the 16th annual Hats Off Luncheon was a dreamy, Sweet/Suite Sixteen production. During the reception the sold-out crowd (400 @ $150, $200-patron) oohed and aahed each others’ hats and bought all of the 1,000 chance auction raffle tickets. The luncheon program emceed by Rhonda Walker had highlights. Ali MacManus, a songwriter/singer who was born prematurely with multiple birth defects and has survived 11 major surgeries, got a standing ovation when she sang her composition “Breaking Free.”

GET WELL SOON: We know others will join us in wishing Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson a speedy recovery after back surgery on June 1 in the green mountain state of North Carolina. Word is he had a pretty aggressive surgery to help him get out of the wheelchair he was finding himself bound to more and more, and one Republican said that he is already feeling better. There are a number of advertising opportunities on the website for Downtown Publications, which allow the website for your business to benefit from the traffic we generate on downtownpublications.com. Plus we offer a few other special promotional tools beyond our website.

If you have an interest in any of these opportunities, just contact Advertising Representative Mark Grablowski at 248.792.6464, extension 601, for further details.

Tombstone ads: We can create a tombstone ad on the right side of website pages that provides a link to your website. We offer three sizes of tombstone ads for as little as $75 per month.

Corner Peel Ad: We also sell the upper right corner of our website, which is called a Corner Peel Ad because the corner literally peels open to reveal a larger ad space which also links to your website. This is great space for ongoing promotion or for a special event.

Television commercials: If your business uses television for marketing purposes, we can help you extend the life of your commercial by posting it on our website for a minimal charge. For the monthly cost of $125, your television commercial can be posted on our site. Your advertising representative can give your further details on how easily your commercial can be converted to website use.

Mobile site banner ad:  We are offer a banner ad that appears on the bottom of the page for cellular phone users of our mobile website (downtownpublications.com/mobile). The ad appears at the bottom of the mobile site, and is the full width of the phone’s screen. The banner ad links to the website for your business. The monthly cost of a mobile banner ad, of which we only sell one, is $50 per month. We ask for a two-month commitment on the mobile site banner ad.

E-mail blast promotion: During the course of each week, we send out no less than two e-mail blasts to about 4,000 loyal followers of downtownpublications.com as we update our website. Your business message, with a link to the website for your business, can appear at the bottom of the page on our e-mail notifications for $50 per month. You can purchase up to two consecutive months of this promotion.
