A Utica man was cited by sheriff's deputies on Sunday, September 17 following a confrontation with a nurse at Ascension Crittenton Hospital, in Rochester Hills.
Oakland County Sheriff's Deputies responded about 2:30 p.m. to the report of a disorderly person at the hospital who allegedly cursed at a nurse and grabbed her arm during an a visit to the hospital.
The victim told deputies the man was accompanying a family member during a visit to the hospital and asking questions while the nurse was attempting to give instructions to the patient. The victim said the man became loud and angry when he didn't get an answer to one of his questions, and then cursed at the nurse and told her to "shut up."
The nurse told deputies she decided to leave the situation and turned to leave when the man grabbed her arm to stop her. She then called security.
Deputies who spoke with the man said he admitted to getting angry and grabbing her arm when she wasn't able to answer his question.
Deputies also discovered the man had an outstanding warrant out of Shelby Township, which advised to release the man on their warrant if he wasn't able to post bond. The man told deputies the warrant was for a similar incident at another hospital.
