Bloomfield Township man shoots two

Oakland County sheriff deputies believe a 22-year-old man from Bloomfield Township shot two men in Pontiac on Saturday, September 23, and they are searching for him.

Deputies responded to reports of multiple gunshot victims at Lois Avenue and N. Marshall Street in Pontiac around 7 p.m. A deputy who responded to the scene observed a black Dodge Challenger parked in the middle of the street, and as he approached the vehicle, he noticed the first victim, a 19-year-old male from Sanford, North Carolina, who was walking toward him clutching his chest area. He appeared to have gunshot wounds to his chest and lower extremities. The deputy got him in his patrol vehicle and then noticed a female assisting a second victim, a 21-year-old male from Pontiac, get out of the Dodge. Both victims were then transported to McLaren Hospital-Oakland.

In investigating the shootings, deputies learned that both victims were in the area to settle a dispute with the suspect, a 22-year-old resident of Bloomfield Township who was driving a dark blue early 2000 Chevrolet truck. When the suspect produced a handgun, the two victims returned to their car. The suspect was able to fire multiple shots while both other men were inside the Dodge Challenger.

Detectives responded to the scene and are following up with the Sheriff’s Fugitive Apprehension Team, which are looking for the suspect.

Both victims survived; both are listed in stable condition.
