Target employee steals Apple products

Bloomfield Township police arrested a Target employee who embezzled almost $4,000 worth of iPads and Apple watches while he was working at the Bloomfield Township store in September.

According to Bloomfield Township police, the embezzlement occurred at the Target store at 2400 Telegraph Road just north of Square Lake Road, sometime between Wednesday, September 13 and Monday, September 25, 2017. Brandon Phillips, 24, of Madison Heights, was working at the store when Target’s loss prevention personnel discovered that he had stolen approximately $3,900 worth of iPads and Apple watches.

The case was presented to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office, and they authorized a warrant for embezzlement. Phillips was arraigned on Tuesday, September 26, at 48th District Court before Judge Diane D’Agostini. She issued a bond for $5,000 or 10-percent cash/surety.

Phillips has his next court date on Tuesday, October 3.
