Armed robbers hold up township woman

Bloomfield Township police officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of Acorn Road at approximately 9:40 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, when a 911 operator could hear a female screaming for help moments before the connection with the caller was lost.

As officers were en route to the home, township dispatch was able to reestablish contact with the caller, and learned that the woman was reporting a possible armed robbery at her home involving three males, one of which was armed with a hand gun. The woman reported that the suspects had fled the scene.

Police arrived within minutes and began searching the area. Officers observed a dark colored Pontiac driving on Acorn Road that was occupied by three males. Police stopped the car and all three males were detained. A search of the vehicle produced several items that linked the suspects to the residence.

A handgun, matching the description of the handgun used during the robbery, was found on one of the suspects.

The three males, Dezman R. Fayne, Hayward J. McAllister, and Dorian Kellman, all 17 and residents of Pontiac, were arrested and taken to the Bloomfield Township Police Department, where a warrant request was sent to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

On Thursday, October 26, all three teenagers were arraigned at 48th District Court in front of Magistrate Julie Nelson-Klein. Fayne and McCallister were each charged with one count of armed robbery and first degree home invasion, and their bond was each set at $500,000. Kellman, who was the driver of the vehicle, was charged with armed robbery, first degree home invasion, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony-armed robbery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony-first degree home invasion, and had bond set at $750,000.

Their next court date is Thursday, November 2 at 9 a.m at 48th District Court.
