Deputies save overdose victim in Rochester Hills

Oakland County Sheriff's deputies on Tuesday, October 31, revived a 39-year-old Rochester Hills man who was believed to be suffering from a drug overdose in the 500 block of Driftwood, authorities said.

Deputies responding about 3:51 p.m. to a 911 caller who said her brother was unconscious and unresponsive on the floor of his bedroom arrived to the home and conducted emergency medical activities.

The caller said her brother had a history of drug abuse and she believed he may have been overdosing at the time of the call.

Deputies at the scene administered a dose of Narcan and gave first aid until paramedics with the Rochester Hills Fire Department arrived. Paramedics administered a second dose of Narcan, causing the man to regain consciousness.

The man was transported by the fire department to Troy Beaumont Hospital for treatment.
