Emagine CEO to speak at leadership event

Emagine Entertainment founder and CEO Paul Glantz will be the keynote speaker on Tuesday, November 21, during the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm's annual Broomfield Center Leadership lecture series. Glantz, who also serves as president of Troy-based Proctor Financial, opened the first digital-projector theater in Michigan in 1997, and now operates 17 luxury movie theaters across three states. The chain includes Emagine Star Lanes Bowling in Royal Oak and more than 200 movie screens, including the largest Super EMAX screen in the state, measuring 92-feet wide and nearly 50-feet tall. Glantz was recently recognized as "Entrepreneur of the Year" by Crain's Detroit Business, and Emagine has been recognized as the "Best Theaters in Michigan" multiple times. On November 21, Glantz will discuss his leadership, motivational skills and success with those attending the event. "Paul's innovative leadership has created a movie-going experience unlike any other," Rochester Hills Mayor Bryan K. Barnett said. "We're thrilled to present the community with this exciting and engaging event." The event, which will be held at Emagine Theater in Rochester Hills, 200 Barclay Circle, will feature a private viewing of a new release IMAX movie. Individual ticket reservations for the event are available for $25. Special VIP tickets available for $75, which include access to a catered reception, meet and greet with Glantz, and a behind the scenes tour of the location's new IMAX Theatre. Special "Silver Screen" sponsorship tickets also are available for $400, which includes two VIP tickets. Tickets for the event, which is expected to sell out, are available online at rochester.org/musdonate. All funds are processed through a partnership with the Community Foundation of Greater Rochester, making ticket donations tax deductible. All proceeds from the event go to fund the rebuilding of the equipment barn at Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm. The barn is intended to help the museum recreate the historic farm setting by constructing a replica of the original barn on the original footprint. The Broomfield Center for the Leadership is located at the site of the museum's former calf barn, and houses former U.S. Congressman and state legislator William Broomfield's collection from his 36-years in office during the Cold War Era. Broomfield's family was among the earliest settlers in the Rochester area and helped found Stony Creek Village where the museum is located. The center's leadership lecture series features speakers who aim to inspire and educate others by sharing their experience and insight.
