Rochester Hills Museum to feature model trains

The Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm's Calf Barn has been transformed this holiday season by the Stoney Creek Model Railroad Club to feature a miniature world of HO gauge trains.

The exhibit, which measures 55 feet by 25 feet, fills the entire barn with trains that travel high and low, past countryside and cities, over bridges and through tunnels Each of the trains tells a different story with great care and attention to detail. A camera mounted on the engine offers a special view of about 300 feet of railroad track.

The annual exhibit will be open on December 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30.

The trains will be operated by members of the Stoney Creek Model Railroad Club. The exhibit is open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Entry for museum members is free. Non-members may enter for $5 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens.
