Burglar throws rock into window, steals cash

A Birmingham resident was awoken around 4:30 a.m. Sunday, January 14, to the sound of breaking glass, and discovered someone threw a rock into their large glass window.

The resident, who lives in the 1200 block of Lakeside Road, reported to police that the glass from the window was completely shattered, and cash was then stolen off of their kitchen table. They also discovered an Apple iPad was missing from the home.

Birmingham police are investigating.
