Get away car may be clue in break-in

Birmingham police are seeking assistance in identifying two male suspects seen exiting a vehicle prior to a home invasion in the 700 block of Wallace Street around 11:28 a.m. Saturday, January 13.

Birmingham police responded to the home after it was reported that there had been a home invasion where personal property was taken. Through the investigation, detectives were able to identify the vehicle used to drop off and pick up the suspects, which they believe is a newer model, 2015 – 2018, black Kia Sorento. It is believed that the Kia Sorento may be from another state or a rental vehicle.

Two suspects were observed exiting the Kia Sorento just before the home invasion. The first suspect is described as a white male, medium to heavy build, approximately 5-feet 8-inches and five-feet ten-inches tall, and between 45 and 60 years-old. The second suspect is also a white male, and approximately 5-feet six-inches and five-feet eight-inches tall.

Birmingham police request anyone with information regarding the home invasion to contact detective Michael Romanowski at 248.530.1774.
