New downtown shops

January 30, 2018

Popular women’s clothing store, Lole, has moved its Rochester location to 404 S.Main Street, in downtown Rochester, from its former location, near Walton and Livernois. Owner Christina Gaskins said the store offers the same products as before, offering activewear inspired by well being. “We wanted to be part of all the events and all of the things downtown offers,” she said. “It’s been a great move. We have seen an increase in traffic. So far, we are extremely happy.” Gaskins opened the original franchise location in August of 2014. In addition to Lole Rochester, Gaskins has taken ownership of James & Olive, 43 Main Street, in downtown Rochester. Originally opened in late 2008, the shop offers the latest fashion trends for boys and girls, ranging from functional to trendy, classic wear and over-the-top items. From suits and ties, to toys and gifts, James & Olive, formerly Green Baby, offers clothing and gifts for children, from newborns to about 6-years old.
