Unhappy customer shoves dry cleaning staff

A woman who arrived at Martinizing Dry Cleaning in Birmingham after it closed on Saturday, March 3, was so angry she couldn't get her clothes that she shoved an employee and then got in her vehicle and drove off.

Employees at the dry cleaners, located at 34000 Woodward Avenue, informed Birmingham police that just after they closed the business at 5 p.m., an unknown woman came to the door and started pounding on it. Employees told her it was after 5 p.m. and the store was closed.

The employees then left the building out the rear exit, where the woman approached them and told them she would pay them $50 in cash to allow her to retrieve her clothing. When the employees rejected her request, the woman shoved one of them from behind with both hands.

The woman, who is described as a tall blonde wearing a long black coat, then got into her white SUV and drove away.

Birmingham police are investigating.
