Woman steals liquor from drug store

A woman is suspected of stealing numerous bottles of liquor from the Rite Aid store at Maple and Lahser in Bloomfield Township on Sunday, April 1.

Employees at the Rite Aid store, located at 3600 W. Maple Road, reported to Bloomfield Township police that they had seen a black female tampering with the security caps on multiple bottles of liquor. They then saw her place the bottles in her purse and leave the store without paying for them. The value of the alcohol she left with is about $160.

The suspect is described as a middle-aged African American woman wearing a black coat and purple pants. She was observed getting into a silver Jeep Cherokee and leaving the parking lot.

Bloomfield Township police are investigating.
