Debit, credit cards stolen from unlocked car

A woman who parked her car on S. Cranbrook Road in Bloomfield Township on Tuesday, April 10, while she went inside to visit a family member, came out to discover her car had been broken into and her credit and debit cards stolen.

The woman reported the theft to the Bloomfield Township Police Department, and acknowledged that when she parked her car in the 500 block of S. Cranbrook, she failed to lock her vehicle. She stated that there was an event being held at the same time at Seaholm High School, which was nearby.

When she returned to her car after visiting a family member, her debit car and credit card had been stolen. Police determined it was used later that day.

Bloomfield Township police report the case is actively being investigated.
