Schools Foundation to host Hometown Hustle
The Rochester Community Schools Foundation on Saturday, May 12, will host its 13th Annual Hometown Hustle 5K fun run/walk at the Chief Financial Credit Union, 200 Diversion Street, in Rochester Hills.
"The Hometown Hustle brings community members of all ages together to enjoy the picturesque race route that runs through the historic neighborhoods of downtown Rochester, the Rochester Municipal Park and the Paint Creek and Clinton River Trail," said Rochester Community Schools Foundation Chairman Bob Justin. "Last year, the Hometown Hustle attracted more than 1,500 participants."
Those who register early will receive a discount, with adult registration being $25 ($30 the day of the race) and $13 ($18 the day of the race) for children in kindergarten through 12th grade. Deadline for all online registration is Monday, May 7, at 11:45 p.m.
The event, which runs from 8:30 to 11 a.m., is presented by Chief Financial Credit Union.
"Part of what makes the Rochester area so strong is the incredible effort put into the schools within this community," said Tom Dluzen, Chief Financial president and CEO. "The Rochester Community Schools Foundation Hometown Hustle is a fun way to support the schools and meet the community. We are thrilled once again to be the presenting sponsor and kicking off Hometown Hustle right here at our chief headquarters. Seeing hundreds gather to support the schools is inspiring. The chief team is looking forward to hustling alongside residents, teachers, local leaders and supporters."
