Contractors duke it out; one man arrested

Two contractors working at a Birmingham home on Tuesday, May 1, got into a verbal altercation that led to a physical assault, and one of the men was arrested.

Birmingham police were dispatched to the home in the800 block of Randall Court around 11 a.m. regarding an assault which had just occurred. Building contractors working for different companies had arrived at the home and gotten into a verbal fight. According to officers, one of the men, a 41-year-old from Mullet Lake, punched the other man with a closed fist.

He was arrested for assault.
