Cash stolen out of purse in office building

A woman working in an office building in Bloomfield Hills had cash stolen out of her purse on Thursday, May 3.

Bloomfield Hills public safety officers took the report of the theft from a building in the 4000 block of Woodward Avenue. An employee of the business in the office building told officers that cash was stolen from her handbag while it was left unattended in a secure area.

According to Lt. Jeffrey Gormley, officers are following up on investigative leads, looking at surveillance video and other evidence in the area.

The investigation is ongoing.
