S. Blvd. on township border to close for repairs

The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) announced they expect to close South Blvd between Squirrel and Opdyke roads, just west of I-75, to traffic beginning Monday, June 4, for concrete removal and replacement. The location is on the Bloomfield Township/Auburn Hills border. The detour for traffic is South Blvd to Opdyke Road to Square Lake Road to Squirrel Road, back to South Blvd, and vice versa. During the closure, the RCOC advises that Georgetown Drive and Sheffield Road will be closed at South Blvd. Georgetown Drive residents will need to use Belton Road to Hunters Ridge Drive to access South Blvd. Additionally, Sheffied Road residents will be able to access South Blvd by using Provincetown Road to Southampton Street. The closure is anticipated to last 10 days.
