Target ripped off of $6,000 in gift cards

The Bloomfield Township Target store discovered that a man who supposedly purchased diapers and $6,000 worth of Target gift cards never really paid for them.

On May 17, Bloomfield Township police were called to Target, 2400 Telegraph Road, for a retail fraud complaint. Loss prevention officers stated that a black male in his mid-twenties, wearing a white T-shirt and black pants purchased a pack of diapers and $6,000 worth of Target gift cards. The store later determined that payment was never received by the cashier for the gift cards.

The man was accompanied by two black females and a white female during the transaction.

Bloomfield Township police are investigating. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
