Repeat wine thief caught at Kroger

A woman with a known history of stealing expensive wine at various area Kroger stores was arrested while trying to steal more wine at a Bloomfield Township Kroger store on Thursday, June 14.

Management at the store, located at 4099 Telegraph Road at Long Lake, informed Bloomfield Township police officers that responded that a white female with a known history of stealing expensive wine at multiple area Kroger stores was currently in the wine aisle and was carrying a large handbag.

Officers arrested Anaya Helen Salame, 30, of Dearborn, for an outstanding warrant out of Bloomfield Township.

Salame was arraigned on Friday, June 15, before Magistrate Howard Linden of the 48th District Court on one court of retail fraud and one count of removing a theft detection device.

Salame's bond was set at $10,000, 10 percent cash/surety.
