Man leaves Kroger with cart of groceries

A man left the Maple and Lahser Kroger store in Bloomfield Township with a cart full of $400 worth of groceries he hadn't paid for on Sunday, June 3.

Around 1:30 p.m. that day, employees of the Kroger stores at 3600 W. Maple Road informed Bloomfield Township police that a black male, in his 60s, wearing a dark coat and khaki shorts, exited the store with $400 worth of grocers without paying.

When store employees confronted the man, he abandoned the cart of groceries in the parking lot and left the area in a dark colored SUV.

Bloomfield Township police are investigating.
