Thief steals from yogi, uses cards at grocery store

A woman doing yoga at Karma Yoga in Bloomfield Township on Tuesday, June 5, came out to discover her car window smashed and her purse stolen, and later learned credit cards were used at the Kroger across the street.
Bloomfield Township police responded to a call from Karma Yoga, 3683 W. Maple at Lahser, on a larceny from auto complaint. The victim told officers that when she returned to her vehicle, she noticed that the rear window was smashed and her purse was missing.
While officers were still on the scene, the victim received notification from her husband of suspicious activity on her credit cards.
The credit cards were used at the Kroger located at 3600 W. Maple Road.
Witnesses reported seeing a black male in his 20s, wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt, near the victim's vehicle prior to the smash-and-grab. Kroger video surveillance cameras captured the same black male and a black female inside the store using the stolen credit cards.
The female is described as African American, in her 20s with long dyed red hair, wearing a blue jean jacket and jeans.
Bloomfield Township police are investigating.
