South Boulevard to close July 1

South Boulevard between Coolidge and Adams in Rochester Hills and Troy will be closed beginning July 16 for construction work, the Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) said. The work, which involves a culvert replacement for the Borden Drain, just west of Coolidge Highway, will cause both eastbound and westbound lanes to be closed. The project is expected to be finished by July 21, at which point westbound lanes will open. Eastbound lanes along South Boulevard will remain closed for reconstruction. The detour route during the culvert replacement and eastbound traffic closure is South Boulevard to Squirrel Road to Square Lake Road to Crooks Road, back to South Boulevard, and vice versa. Residential and business access will be maintained throughout the project. All work is expected to be completed by mid-September.
