Spheres, birdbath stolen when tenant moves out

A Bloomfield Township homeowner lost $1,200 worth of decorative lawn ornaments from his property when a tenant moved out on Friday, August 10.

The homeowner called Bloomfield Township police regarding his property in the 1000 block of Greentree Road. The resident told officers that his tenant had recently moved out and had hired an individual from the app “Nextdoor” to move his belongings. During the move, several decorative lawn ornaments that were supposed to stay on the property were stolen. Included in the theft were two concrete spheres and an antique birdbath, with a total value of $1,200.

Bloomfield Township police are investigating.
