Warrant out for man who issued phony check

A business check from a Bloomfield Hills business that was fraudulently produced and cashed at a PNC Bank in Redford was investigated and a felony warrant is out for a man from Detroit, the Bloomfield Hills Public Safety Department announced.

On August 9, Bloomfield Hills public safety officers took a report from a business in the 100 block of Lone Pine of someone who had fraudulently produced a check from the business, and then cashed it at a PNC Bank branch in Redford. After a thorough five-week investigation, police developed a suspect, a 54-year-old male from Detroit.

A felony warrant was issued this week, Bloomfield Hills Public Safety D/Lt. Jeffrey Gormley announced.
