Community tailgate party on Thursday, October 25

The annual Tailgate Party hosted by the Community Foundation of Greater Rochester is scheduled for Thursday, October 25, at the Royal Park Hotel.

The event annually celebrates the football season, and this year also celebrates the foundation's 35th anniversary and the launch of its Community Enhancement Fund. Now in it's eighth year, the party offers a casual evening for attendees to don their favorite sports attire and support the Community Foundation.

Tailgate-style food and live performances from local high schools will be part of the evening.

The Community Foundation is in the midst of its 35th year of providing donor advising, charitable fund management, major gift creation and legacy planning. Through it, dozens of individuals and businesses have been able to support non-profits and give back to the community in a sound and sustainable way.

Throughout 2018, Community Foundation has been sharing stories of its impact on local projects, non-profits, students, individuals and schools. Millions of dollars funnel through the organization to fuel the community's projects and endeavors.

"Donors are amazed at the impact they can make when they give through the Community Foundation or utilize the services of the Foundation to further their charitable goals," said Jo Allen, the foundation's executive director. "Our long-standing mission is to leave an impact 'for good, forever' and that is what our funds do. They will be changing lives in our communities for generations to come."

Individual tickets for the October 25 party are $65. Tickets and table sponsorships are $650 are available online at cfound.org.
