Downtown Rochester on Saturday, October 20, will host a full day and evening of Halloween events, including trick or treating, a costume parade, spaghetti dinner and an evening viewing of Ghostbusters.

Trick or treating will run from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at participating downtown merchants, followed by a costumer parade at 5:15 p.m. The parade will start at the corner of Water Street and University and travel down Water Street to the sound of Halloween music from the Fire Department.

The Rochester Fire Department will host a Firehouse Fun event from 4:30 to 7 p.m., including a kids crafts and a spaghetti dinner to benefit the Rochester Area Youth Assistance. The fire station is located at the corner of Third Street and Water Street.

The final event will be a special Halloween edition of Movies in the Moonlight, featuring the film Ghostbusters, from 6 to 9 p.m. The movie is scheduled to start at dusk, or about 6:30 p.m. at the Farmers Market lot, at the corner of E. Third Street and Water Street. Popcorn, food and snacks will be available to purchase, provided by The Meeting House. Attendees are welcome to bring their own goodies (barring all alcohol and glass containers).
