Sip, Savor, Shop event to benefit Rochester schools

The seventh annual Sip, Savor and Shop event will be held on Wednesday, November 14, at the Forestre Banquet Center in Rochester Hills, allowing attendees to enjoy their favorite beverages and appetizers while shopping, all for a chance to win prizes and benefit the Rochester Community Schools Foundation.

The event, which runs from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the banquet center, 1919 Star Batt Drive, is open to adults 21 and over, at just $25 per person, if purchased before November 1.

Event organizers Suzanne Tedesco and Jennifer Donovan have grown the event each year by bringing in new and unique retailers.

"With more than 30 select vendors, the event is a great opportunity to get a head start on holiday shopping while having an evening out with friends, Tedesco said.

"We have grown our raffle and silent auction prizes to value more than $20,000 with thanks to our many generous donors," Donovan said. "A limited number of raffle tickets will be sold until 7:30 p.m. Our fabulous prizes include event tickets, restaurant gift certificates, salon and spa treatments, sports memorabilia, jewelry, gift baskets, fitness packages, vacation stays and much, much more."

The first 200 attendees will receive gift bags. Group discount rates offer five entrances for $100. Admission sales are available until November 13. Door admission sales won't be permitted. Admission includes assorted beverages and appetizers, an opportunity to shop with unique vendors and the chance to win prizes.

"We are pleased to be able to partner with such a great group of small and independent business owners to enhance the Foundation's mission," Rochester Community Schools Foundation Director Lori Grein said. "We look forward to another successful event filled with lots of fun."

To be added to the guest list, call 248.726.3190 or forward names of all attendees along with a check made out to the RCS Foundation to Rochester Community Schools Foundation, Attn: Sip, Savor & Shop, 501, W. University Drive, Rochester, MI 48307. Credit card payments will be accepted through Wednesday November 8.
