Rochester Hills Library promotes life-long learning
The Rochester Hills Public Library is offering more than 300 interactive, instructor-lead, online courses through Gale Courses that are intended to encourage life-long learning for library patrons.
The courses, which range from Adobe Photoshop to project management, Spanish and photography, are a new electronic resource offered by the library.
"Our focus this year on expanding our digital services has really resonated with the community," said adult services m,anager Jessica Parij."We aim to provide a wide variety of these digital resources, and for us, Gale Courses helped fill the gaps in our digital catalogue."
Courses run for six weeks and new sessions begin every month. Patrons can visit rhpl.org to get started on courses.
"RHPL is dedicated to offering life-long learning opportunities. Gale courses is an excellent addition to our weekly lecture series, non-fiction collection and our online databases," said community relations specialist Amanda Harrison Keighley.
The courses are offered at no cost to library patrons, requiring only an active library card.
