Employee arrested for embezzling from Target


An employee of the Bloomfield Township Target store who had been the subject of an ongoing embezzlement investigation by Target Corporate Security was arrested by Bloomfield Township police on Wednesday, November 7, and charged with three counts of felony embezzlement.

The Bloomfield Township Police Department was contacted by Target Corporate Security regarding an ongoing embezzlement investigation they had been conducting. Township police detectives were informed that a current employee of the Target store at 2400 Telegraph Road, Bloomfield Township, was suspected of embezzling thousands of dollars worth of merchandise through an elaborate online ordering scam.

After a thorough investigation, Shanon Rene Kidd of Waterford Township was arrested and charged with three counts of felony embezzlement.

Kidd was arraigned at 48th District Court before Magistrate Julie Nelson-Klein and given a $100,000 cash bond. Kidd's next court appearance is scheduled for Monday, November 19 at 8:30 a.m. before Judge Kimberly Small at 48th District Court.
