Chamber to host Economic Forecast Breakfast

The Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber is starting out the new year by hosting their annual Economic Forecast Breakfast on Friday, January 11, 2019, at the Bloomfield Open Hunt Club. The featured speaker will be Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago Senior Business Economist Paul Traub, who will be providing an update on the current state of the U.S. economy from the perspective of the Federal Reserve Bank, focusing on the economies of four major sectors: personal consumption, private domestic investment, government consumption and investment, and trade. Traub is a member of the team that created the Detroit Economic Activity Index and is a frequent speaker on the Michigan economy. Prior to joining the economic research department of the Chicago Fed, Traub was president of Scenario Economics LLC and senior economist for Americas Commercial Transportation Research Company, LLC (ACT Research). The event will be held at the Bloomfield Open Hunt Club in Bloomfield Hills from 8-9:30 a.m., and includes a plated breakfast. There is a charge of $30 for chamber members and $40 for non-members.
