Women steal electronics from Target

While several police departments were participating in a “Shop with a Cop” charity event at the Bloomfield Township Target store on Wednesday, December 19, two women stole $1,900 worth of electronics. The Bloomfield Township Police Department, along with officers from Sylvan Lake, Keego Harbor and Orchard Lake, was participating in “Shop with a Cop” on Wednesday evening, a charity event designed to aid underprivileged children during the Christmas season at Target, 2400 Telegraph Road, when officers were notified that two people were being questioned on suspicion of retail fraud in the loss prevention office. After further investigation by officers, Keiana Wilson, 40, of Burton, and Dana Johnson, 18, of Flint, were arrested on felony retail fraud charges. Police report the two women concealed and left the store with $1,900 worth of electronics before being stopped. Wilson and Johnson were arraigned at 48th District Court before Magistrate Julie Nelson-Klein. Johnson was given a $250,000 cash bond, and Wilson a $20,000 10 percent cash/surety bond. Their next court date is Thursday, January 3.
