Police investigate stolen vehicle, later recovered

Police are investigating the theft of a vehicle stolen on the morning of Friday, December 7, from a Birmingham residence that was later recovered in Detroit. Officers with the Birmingham Police Department were dispatched about 7 a.m. to the 100 block of Catalpa regarding an unidentified vehicle that was stolen. The victim told officers the vehicle was parked in the driveway about 9 p.m. the previous day. A purse containing the keys was left in the vehicle. The following morning, the victim discovered the vehicle was missing. Police said the vehicle was recovered at an undisclosed location in Detroit. The case remains under investigation.
