Clothing and beauty items hidden in purse

A Bloomfield Hills teenager was caught trying to steal $67 worth of items from the Bloomfield Township Target store on Thursday, December 27.

The loss prevention manager at the Target store at 2400 Telegraph Road reported to Bloomfield Township police that around 9 p.m. a white female came into the store and put several different items into her large purse. At the register, she paid for one item, but left the store without paying for the items she had placed in her purse.

Loss prevention officers at the store stopped and detained Kaitlyn Alene Neely, 18, of Bloomfield Hills, who then confessed to stealing $67 worth of clothing, health and beauty items, and was arrested when officers arrived at the store.

Neely is scheduled to appear in 48th District Court on Wednesday, January 9, at 8:30 a.m.
