Woman passes phony bill at McDonald's

A woman going through the drive thru in the Bloomfield Township McDonald's on Wednesday, January 9, passed a counterfeit $20 bill, and came back the next day and tried to do it again.

Bloomfield Township police responded to the McDonald's, located at 2209 Telegraph Road, at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 10, regarding a counterfeit bill complaint. The manager reported that the previous day, a black female, with black and blonde curly hair, a stud nose ring, driving a blue Ford Flex vehicle, had passed a counterfeit $20 bill.

According to the manager, the woman ordered a soda from the drive thru, paid with the fraudulent bill, and received a little over $18 in change.

The same suspect returned on Thursday, January 10, and attempted to pass another counterfeit bill, the manager reported to police, but was recognized by a McDonald's employee.

The case is currently under investigation by Bloomfield Township police. Anyone who recognizes the description of the suspect is asked to call the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
