Lincoln Hills offers winter sports

The fairways at Lincoln Hills Golf Course may be covered in snow, but free winter sports activities are underway at the public golf course in Birmingham.

The course is now open for sledding, snowshoeing and cross country skiing. Residents must bring their own equipment, but beverages, snacks and restrooms are available at the clubhouse.

Hours of operation for winter activities are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, depending upon weather. The clubhouse may be closed during very cold or slow periods.

For more information and operation status, contact Lincoln Hills at 248.530.1670 or the Birmingham Department of Public Services at 248.530.1700.
