Thieves break into sub shop

Police are investigating a burglary that occurred in late January at a Bloomfield Township submarine shop in the 2400 block of Telegraph Road.

Bloomfield Township police officers responded about 10:45 a.m. to the report of a breaking and entering at Jimmy Johns, 2481 Telegraph, that occurred sometime overnight on Tuesday, January 22 or Wednesday, January 23. The store manager told officers an unknown person entered the store sometime overnight and stole $800 in cash from the safe.

Police didn't say if there were signs of forced entry or whether the safe was locked.

The case is under investigation.

Police ask anyone with information to contact the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
