Wallet stolen from purse at Birmingham eatery

Birmingham police are investigating the theft of a wallet that was allegedly stolen from a customer who was eating at a downtown restaurant on Sunday, March 2. Police said the victim was at Panera Bread, 100 Old Woodward, and sitting at a table near the window on the south side of the restaurant. The victim said her wallet was inside of her purse when it was stolen at some point. The incident is under investigation.
