A Highland Township man was arrested on Wednesday, April 3, in connection with a burglary at the Bloomfield Animal Hospital on Telegraph Road, police said.

Bloomfield Township police officers responded about 6:45 a.m. to the animal hospital, 1669 Telegraph Road, for an alarm at the building. When officers arrived at the scene they discovered the front door had been forced open and all of the cash was missing from the register.

The investigation led police to develop a suspect and arrest Daniel Joseph Binsfeld, 58, of Highland Township.

Binsfeld was charged with one count of breaking and entering. He was arraigned on Thursday, April 4, in 48th District Court in Bloomfield Township before Magistrate Andra Richardson, and given a $25,000 cash bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, April 16.
