Detroit man arrested in car theft

A Detroit man was arraigned on Friday, April 12, in connection with a stolen vehicle from the 2000 block of W. Hickory Grove earlier this year, police said. Bloomfield Township police responded about 3:30 a.m. on January 26 to the complaint of a suspicious vehicle in the area. The vehicle had left the area prior to police arriving, but officers discovered several vehicles in the area had been entered and personal items were stolen. Police also discovered a 2004 GMC Yukon was stolen. Police arrested Daniel Santiago Camacho, 41, of Detroit in connection with the incident. He was charged with unlawful driving away of an automobile, larceny from an automobile and credit card fraud. Camacho was arraigned on April 12 in 48th District Court before Magistrate Julie Nelson-Klein. Bond was set at $50,000. He is scheduled to appear on Monday, April 22 before Judge Kimberly Small at 48th District Court.
