Road construction beginning early Saturday, May 4, will close the Franklin Road connector between Telegraph and Square Lake roads through Sunday, May 5, for milling and paving of the Telegraph/Franklin intersection.
No detour will be provided for northbound traffic wanting to continue north on Franklin Road north of Square Lake Road.
In addition, eastbound and westbound lanes along Maple Road will be reduced to one lane each starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 3. Maple Road in the Telegraph median will be completely closed starting at 6 a.m. on Saturday.
Cars traveling east on Maple will have to turn right onto southbound Telegraph, use the nearest cross over to travel on northbound Telegraph, then make a right turn from northbound Telegraph to continue east on Maple Road.
Cars traveling west on Maple will have to turn right on the connector, turn right onto northbound Telegraph, use the nearest cross over to head south on southbound Telegraph, then turn right on Maple to continue west on Maple Road.
It's anticipated that all lanes of traffic will be open late Sunday when the work is complete.
The double lane closure will be switched from the outside lanes to the inside lanes for northbound and southbound Telegraph Road between Long Lake Road and Square Lake Road for resurfacing work.
