Woman absconds with $500 worth of groceries

Police are looking for a woman who stole about $500 in groceries on Tuesday, May 7, from a Bloomfield Township Kroger store in the 4000 block of Telegraph Road. Officers with the Bloomfield Township Police Department responding about 9:50 p.m. to the report of a theft at Kroger, 4099 Telegraph, spoke with the manager who said a middle-aged, white woman exited the store with a shopping cart full of groceries that she didn't pay for before leaving. The woman was confronted in the parking lot while loading the groceries into a red or burgundy sport utility vehicle. The woman then fled in the car onto Telegraph. The case is under investigation.
