Thieves steal wheels from SUV

Thieves on Friday, June 28, stole the wheels from a sport utility vehicle parked in the 1700 block of Fox River Drive and left the vehicle resting on cinder blocks, police said. Bloomfield Township police responded about 9 a.m. to the report of a theft in the area that occurred sometime between 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, and 9 a.m. on Friday, June 28. The victim told officers his 2017 Ford Explorer had been parked in his driveway when someone stole the wheels and left it resting on the blocks. The wheels were valued at $2,000. Police ask anyone with information to contact the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
