Long Lake Road to close Saturday for one day

Long Lake Road between the north and south leg of Franklin Road in Bloomfield Township will close for the day on Saturday, November 23, the Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) said. The closure will allow construction crews to replace a culvert under the road, between Carillon Drive and Pine Tree Trail. During the work, residential and business access will be maintained, although the road will be completely closed at the culvert. The detour for through traffic is Telegraph Road to Lone Pine Road to Franklin Road, back to Long Lake Road, and vice versa. The road is expected to reopen the same day, on Saturday, November 23. Long Lake Road carries about 16,460 vehicles a day. The work is being done during the weekend to minimize traffic impact.
