New township Xfinity store approved

A 4,300 square foot Xfinity store will occupy a retail space at 1991 Telegraph Road at the Village of Bloomfield, located next to the existing Aldi location, following approval on Monday, January 13, by the Bloomfield Township Board of Trustees. The board unanimously approved the site plan for the store, which will be located in the building owned by Redico. Bloomfield Township Building and Ordinance Director Patti Voelker said the proposed building and site plan is consistent with the overall development that was previously presented by Redico, the property owner. The township board in 2017 approved site plan improvements associated with the proposed developments, which included internal roads, parking lots, lighting and landscaping. The plan for the specific Xfinity tenant was approve by the township's design review board in November of 2019 and by the planning commission in December.
