The Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Real Estate Forecast Breakfast on Friday, February 14, at 8 a.m. at The Townsend Hotel in Birmingham, focusing on trends in residential, commercial and industrial real estate.
The Real Estate Forecast Breakfast is the second event in the chamber’s 2020 Forecast Series which included an Economic Forecast in January and an upcoming Government Forecast on March 17. The event features two panelists and will be moderated by Kevin Washburn of Clark Hill, PLC.
The two featured speakers are Scottie Lee, vice president of Strategy and Research, Taubman Centers, and Coldwell Banker Weir Manuel CEO John North.
Lee will focus on trends in the commercial and industrial real estate sectors. He oversees external growth opportunities while managing relationships with department stores. Lee was instrumental in the rebranding and marketing of Great Lakes Crossing Outlets.
North will focus his presentation on the residential real estate market. He has more than 21 years of real estate experience with the company. As chief executive officer, his primary responsibilities include making major corporate decisions, managing the overall operations and resources of a company, and acting as the main point of communication between the board of directors and corporate operations.
“The Real Estate Forecast traditionally is one of our best attended programs, and for good reason,” said chamber president Joe Bauman. “Our residents and business owners have significant investments in their properties, and knowing market trends is crucial to their investments.”
The breakfast will be held at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham from 8 - 9:30 a.m. Tickets are $45, which includes a full plated breakfast. Reservations are required and can be made at bbcc.com or by calling 248.430.7688.
