Woman uses township resident's identity

The Bloomfield Township Police Department is asking for assistance from the public in identifying suspects who have used a Bloomfield Township resident's identity to open a $7,000 credit line at Lowe's and to make purchases at several stores. On December 31, 2019, Bloomfield Township police responded to the 2000 block of Heathfield Road on an identity theft complaint. The victim reported that her personal and financial information had been stolen, allegedly by the black female in the phone, to make purchases at several stores at Somerset Collection on December 29. Police determined that on the same day, the victim's information was used to open a $7,000 credit line at Lowe's Home Improvement Store in Commerce Township. Anyone with information is asked to call the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
