Detroit man arrested for stealing electronics

June 12, 2020

An employee at the Birmingham Walgreens called police to report that a man had walked out with electronic items down his shorts on Thursday, June 4, and police later arrested him.

The employee at Walgreens, 34300 Woodward Avenue, told officers he saw a man place electronic
items in his shorts and walk out of the store without paying for them.

Birmingham police later located the man, a 60-year-old from Detroit, who was in possession of the stolen items.

Officers arrested him for retail fraud.
