Gun stolen from car parked in driveway

A Bloomfield Township resident reported a handgun was stolen from the glove box of her car on Thursday, August 20. Police responded to the 3000 block of Thornbrier Way, where the resident informed them that the day prior she had parked her 2016 GMC Acadia in the driveway, where it had stayed overnight. She left for work the next day and found the contents of the glove box on the floor of the vehicle gone, which had included a .357 Ruger handgun. She said believed her vehicle and glove box had been locked. Police found no forced entry into the vehicle. The gun was entered into the computer as stolen. On Friday, August 21 it was recovered and an arrest was made in connection to the theft. Bloomfield Township police reported the investigation is still ongoing.
